These were just something fun and festive I made for my family’s Octoberfest themed wine party. The secret to a nice golden brown pretzel, dipping your dough in baking soda water! It gets the salt to stick and adds that great color. I tried a butter and salt substitute but it just didn’t brown nearly as well.
Mixing up the douge. After it rises, put onto a floured surface and divide like a pie. Make snakes with each section of dough, dip in baking soda water, fold into pretzel, then add salt!
