Fist off, the addition of red food coloring is a big no no in my kitchen. So that was obviously left out. Second, I was a little unsure about the whole “roasting strawberries” thing. I decided to skip that step and just toss them into the batter freshly chopped. I think the cake turned out beautifully! Maybe some day I will go back try them roasted and let you know how it goes 🙂
